4th of July, 2015
The Fourth of July holiday this year came at the end of a long week of separation from Nolan and Scott who had been at Scout Camp. So, all we really wanted was to be together, and that's what we did. We had a very full day with the fun a family could ask for and never left our own front yard. The kids played with the hose and the slip n slide. We had kabobs and watermelon for dinner and s'mores for dessert, we lit our own fireworks and we watched Independence Day til bedtime. Pretty perfect.

Pratt Branch Bible School
I have never attended a Vacation Bible School, let alone authored, supervised and conducted one. But a couple months back, I was driving alone in my car and my mind suddenly opened up to a flood of ideas about doing a Bible School, partially as a missionary effort for the community and partially to build unity and strength in the Branch (of course, I hoped it would do the kids some good as well). I knew it was a prompting from the Spirit, because inspite of all my good excuses, I couldn't talk myself out of doing it. Luckily our Branch Leaders got right behind me, and my Branch sisters really pitched in and helped. And we did it. We did something unnecessary, unusual, and really great. One more reason to believe that if and when you act on the promptings of the Spirit, especially if it's hard and pushes you way out of your comfort zone, you just might get to see a miracle.
