Fall Campout

This would have been the Fall Camporee for all the Scouts if it hadn't been canceled because of Covid. So our local troop planned a simple campout close by, just for us - at Green Recreation Area. Since it was so close and convenient, we all went and camped as a family. We had beautiful weather and smores and the whole thing. Such fun!

Pumpkin Farm

Hardly any pictures from the pumpkin farm this year because we didn't stay for very long. It was kind of a bust - surprisingly hot and WAY too crowded. I was annoyed by the long lines, and Scott was bothered by the utter lack of social distancing. But we went with the Barneses and McElyeas and it's never a bad day with our besties.

Baby Shower

I have a baby niece coming soon...yay!!! Chrysta has been so kind to move here, keep me company in Kansas, and now have a sweet little baby for me to hold and snuggle - I can't wait!! We had a fun little shower at her house with Tom and Amber, and a friend from her ward, and lots of family present in spirit. Since our numbers were few, the boys hung around for a while and ate our food and played a game with us. When we sat down to open all the adorable girly presents, they went bowling :)

Conference Weekend

Conference was (as always) a feast for our hungry spirits. It filled my soul. I grow ever more thankful to God for our Prophet and the inspired leaders of the church. Larry, Destini and Jenny were able to be with us for a couple of sessions. In between, we went into town for the truck show to get lunch and stretch our legs. We ate BBQ and messed around by the trucks. I tried to take the girls (Destini, Jenny and Hanna) with me to grab som groceries before the next session started, but on our way to Walmart we got caught in the Truck parade. All the trucks were honking and waving at the families lining the roads in their lawn chairs, so we decided we better do the same. Destini opened the moon roof for Hanna and Jenny to pop through, and I rolled down the windows and laid on the horn. We all smiled and waved like Miss America. And laughed our heads off!
