Hanna's 10th Birthday

Look at this gorgeous girl! I mean, would you be SO grateful if you had such a beautiful, smart, happy, funny, darling daughter? And what if she was just as sweet and kind inside as she is radiant outside? What then?! I know. Believe me, I do. You have to squeeze her guts out every time you get the chance and thank God in heaven for making her yours. It's my lot in life. Here are her 10th birthday celebrations. Boy, is she worth celebrating.

Spring Break with the Boones in Nebraska

Our dear friends the Boones (from undergrad in AZ) just moved here from Oregon and took a Podiatry job in Great Bend. We are such lucky ducks! So, for our first Spring Break together, we did a little exploring in our area. We hit some tourist spots and church history sites in Kansas (the world's largest porch swing, Liberty Jail, Haun's Mill) and ended up in Omaha at the Winter's Quarters visitor center and Temple. We also went to the Omaha Zoo (very impressive!) while we were there. Thanks to the Boones, our kids have even more best friends to claim here in Kansas - friends that are more like cousins. I still can't believe we keep getting so lucky to have our dear ones sent out here to us in no-man's land. Must not be luck! When you live your life for God, He blesses you with joyful gifts that you wouldn't think to ask for. And/or...when you give something up for Him (friends and family back home), he pays you back somehow - with interest!
