Best Birthday Ever

43 this year. My Scotty sure takes care of me on my birthday...got me a gorgeous Craig's List piano, a shiny new farm sink, and took me out for sushi. Also, Mom, Chrysta, and Jonny splurged on a water filter system to go with my new sink, Lisa sent me a sweet retro jacket, and Kimber sent me the most delicious candle and body spray.

Best of all, Nolan got his Eagle Scout project done and did a great job. Happy birthday to me!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day Weekend we took mom and met the Barnses in Cottonwood, KS. We stayed at the most adorable rental called "The Church." It was an old stone church that had been renovated into a gorgeous house. It was awesome. So were our surroundings. There was a pretty impressive river close by, complete with waterfalls. We all got in the water, even grandma! We were also able to "hike" the hills nearby. Gorgeous weather, felt so good. Before we left that area, we stopped at the Tall Prarie National Preserve. Couldn't stay long but we walked around a historic ranch and made plans to go back, hike the trails and find the wild buffalo. On the Morning of Memorial Day, I took Liam and Reed to help their Scout Pack at the Iuka Cemetary presentation of veterans.
