Family Ski Trip

Back to Monarch Mountain! Only this time we brought Destini and Mythius...their first time on skis. The two of them went to ski school with Mae. All three were very brave and made lots of progress! It was a cold weekend but our cabin was warm and cozy. The snow was deep and the sledding was excellent. We did lots of building and digging and playing around the cabin. Had a really hard time finding somewhere to go out to eat, though. We ended up a somewhat sketchy place that only had one meal on the menu. Gave us all a good laugh!

 

Another Adult Child

Colby turned 18! Which means my whole life is currently consumed with applying to his colleges, filling out his mission papers, taking his senior pictures, planning his Eagle court of honor, etc. It is definitely his time to shine (he just got accepted to BYU, by the way)! He's got seminary and highschool graduation coming up, and he is just an extraordinary human being. He sure knows how to make his parents proud. This is going to be the year of Colby...here we go!

 

New Year, Big Changes

Our littlest boy is a big ol' priesthood holder. He was so excited about this change for many months leading up to it. Almost every day he would remind me - "Mom, I'm going into young men's soon...I'm going to get the priesthood...soon I'll be passing the sacrament." I'm so proud of his willingness to serve the Lord and his eagerness to be like his wonderful dad and brothers, but I'll really miss having him home with me on Wednesday nights for cuddles and caramel popcorn. Guess I've got another big kid now!
