Pumpkin Patch & Farm Fun

There's not a lot that's good about having to live far away from family...but if we're gonna do it, I figure we might as well focus on the positives and a few of the things I've been looking forward to are crisp cool air, fall leaves, the changing of the seasons and spending the holidays in a small town. A nice day trip to the pumpkin farm in the middle of October was a good way to kick it all off. We followed along with the Hopkins to make it extra fun and we were double blessed with loads of sunshine. The only thing missing was Scott who, if I recall, was magnifying some priesthood responsibilities at the temple that day. I have to say, in all my years, and certainly not in Arizona, had I ever seen a pumpkin patch like this. It was the Disneyland of pumpkin patches, I like to say. Allow me to attempt a list of all the attractions... There was a hay maze, zip line, rubber duck races, trike track, tandem bike riding, bungy bull riding, train rides, face painting, live country music, bbq lunch and giant sugar cookies...and let's not forget the hay ride and the pumpkin picking. No wonder our kids have not yet complained about living in Kansas!
