New Year's Eve ended up not happening exactly as we had planned. We were going to spend it with the Hopkins. I had my games and crafts and food assignments all ready to go, but then the stomach flu hit our house. The kids were all pretty much over it by the time the holiday arrived, but that's when I started coming down with it. The kids were so devastatingly disappointed that we couldn't go to the party, that I knew laying around and feeling sick was not an option. So we made the hats and played the games, and I did my best to make the food, but that was the hardest part. Chopping vegetables to make homemade salsa was totally vomitrocious. I hope the kids at least made some happy memories :)
