County Fair

First we went to the fair for fun - to ride rides and eat funnel cakes and shaved ice. Scott was out of town, but we met Amber and Ellie there and had a good time. Nolan was the hero of the day for killing it at all the games and winning Robin and Squirtle for Liam and Reed. We loved the farm animals...especially Skiddles the goat (Amber and I wanted to keep him!).

Then we went back the next two nights (Nolan, Colby and I) to work the Rocket Dog booth and raise money for the Scouts. They were long nights but we love our Scout family.

Pioneer Day

This was one of those magical Branch activities that came off brilliantly even though very little thought or planning went into it, and no one in particular was in charge of it. Branches though, ours especially, seem to get a little extra help from heaven because they have so little to work with. All we did was bring a BBQ grill, some burgers and dogs, and some hoops and sticks and sacks. God gave us a perfectly cool summer's night, and EVERYBODY came. Once Scott gave a sweet and heartfelt tribute to the pioneers, we were all in the mood for some pioneer games. It was SO fun. I dont know about everybody else but when we left, my heart was full.
