We hosted the New Year's Eve bash this year. All the fam came except Jonny and Chrysta who were on call and couldn't leave town. They kindly sent Eden and Margot to us, though, who spent the night along with Kendall and Renee. We did puzzles, watched movies, watched sports, played games, pigged out. The next day, Nolan drove all the kids to wichita for more family time at the Wellmans. I really love having Wellmans close by. I'd say that was the most impactful thing that happened to our family this year - having the Wellmans (Scott and Cheryl) move to Wichita. And Ty and Kaycie came out to visit twice from South Carolina. When we moved to Kansas we thought we were heading out into the wilderness, never to live close to family again. Watching family gather all around us now is the most amazing blessing!
