The Great Return of the Mighty Missionary

Can you imagine a happier day? I mean, we were all high on anticipation! And then, having Nolan back in my arms, and the whole family around us in a group hug, was the greatest drug of all. Just pure joy. This is what heaven will be - a great reunion after a long, hard journey - I just know it.

Another Fantastic 4th

Every time I look around, all I see are blessings. We are surrounded by family and friends. We abundantly enjoy freedom and faith. Such gifts! I am so grateful. This year we had the usual food, festivities, and fireworks on the 4th. Then we met family on Cheney Lake the next morning.

Big Step for Colby

This wonderful human has worked his whole life to prepare for this important step/moment/decision/milestone. I couldn't be more happy, proud, and grateful. I spent a lot of time with him, studying and reading, to get him prepared for the important promises he would make and the great responsibility he'd agree to. He was more than willing, eager to bind himself to the Lord. He has always been a true friend to Jesus Christ, His church, and His Gospel. It's strange to look at my baby boy and see a man - one with strong, square shoulders and a brave heart. He was born for this.

Loved ones in attendance:
Grandma, the Hopkins, the Greens, the Hardins, the Barretts, Uncle Jonny, and even Alyssa.

Our Last and Only Ball Player

I'm sure grateful Mae is still willing to play softball so we can spend some time at the ballpark over the summer. One of my all-time favorite places on earth (with my all-time favorite baby daughter).
