Cowtown

This outting was just us killing time over Spring Break, waiting for dad to quit working so we could finally leave on our trip. But none of us had ever been to Cowtown in Wichita (which is an explorable museum of the original Main Street of Wichita and a history of its early settlers). So we went! Even Grandma hopped in her car and followed us over. It was perfect spring weather, very educational (maybe a little too much walking and learning for some of the kids), but lots of fun for me. We also went to see The Keeper of the Plains statue and Riverwalk Park in downtown Wichita which we also had never visited before. Good times all around!

Random March Moments

Liam competed with his 7th grade scholars bowl team (they were super smarty pants champions) and Jenny worked as a score keeper. We stayed at the Barnses one weekend so we could go to all our stake conference meetings (and listen to Elder Gong speak), and watch the Green kids in a Wichita Children's Theater production, and do a little summer clothes shopping (during which we happened to find some cute formal dresses for Hanna's and Jenny's future use). Took Mae and the younger kids to Nifty Nut house while Dad took Hanna to pick out a new (used) teenager car - a shiny blue Ford Fusion. Saw Jenny sing and play the bongos in her 6th grade music concert and let her have a rowdy dance party sleepover.
