Goodbye Gma :(

After four fun months, it was time for Grandma Wellman to move on to her next destination. We were sad to let her go, but it's good to know she'll be back around again. We had a farewell BBQ and a kickball game in the park before she left...then she and I hopped in the car and headed to Utah, which means I got to see Lisa and all the awesome Hardins!

Super Kids!

This Spring, Colby won 2nd place at the Middle School Spelling Bee (as a 5th grader), Reedy dressed up as the Grinch for Dr. Seuss Day at preschool, Hanna hand crafted a felt doll, plus outfit, of her own creation (with a little sewing help), Nolan Rocked his 7th grade band concert, Hanna Liam and Reed attended a community tea party, and Mae grew and grew and grew! They are all so awesome!

Wood Badge

I guess you're never too old to advance in Scouting! Here's Scott earning his Wood Badge (quite a lot of work, actually). I was very proud of my handsome guy. Scouting has been good for pushing both of us out of our comfort zone. I curse it and love it at the same time.

Spring Break

We had yet another stay-cation for our Spring Break this year because...we had just moved into our new house! So, one of our Spring Break activities was going to Lowe's and picking out blinds. We also stopped at a few of our usual spots including the Hutch Zoo and Pizza Ranch. I was mostly organizing and unpacking so the kids had to entertain themselves...which resulted in a very creative performance of "The Brave Little Hedgehog" by Hanna and her cast/crew.

Easter Morning

The candy and the baskets went just about the same as every other Easter. The kids ate peeps and peanut butter cups for breakfast, as per usual. What was different and new and wonderful this Easter was the first and ONLY snow fall of the year landed during the night while we were sleeping. We woke up to a clean blanket of white on Easter morning, and I couldn't help but see and feel the significance. I'm so thankful for what the Savior brought to the world when He lived and died and rose again...the potential for all of us to wake up clean and white and brand new. It was a happy Easter. I even got to hide eggs in the snow for the Primary kids at church.
