August Stuff

In August...Hanna started her first season of highschool tennis, Liam finished reading his second Harry Potter book, Jenny officially moved in to live at our house full-time, and Nolan had a birthday and turned 19!

 

End of Summer / Back To School

Beautiful, peaceful Pratt really gives us the good life. These sunny summer days and our happy family walks around the loop at Lemon Park will live in my mind forever.

I was released from being Primary President after serving for about 2 and 1/2 years. I got to go to one last activity at the Jennings farm, though. And they let me hold a big snake, so that was awesome.

School started up again and the kids all faced it with smiles and lots of guts, and with spiritual power, thanks to the priesthood blessings daddy always gives.

Young Men's Camp

Here's another thing that happened and I was not there to witness it, so I can't really share any specific details, other than Scotty took the young men on a campout in Nebraska near a beautiful river where they tubed down and had a total blast.

I can share this though...

Scott Gordon sure has taken on a lot since he was asked to be Branch President in Pratt. He rose up to the challenge and then was given a whole heap more when the change was made to put the BP in charge of the young men. I'm sure proud of him when plans and pulls off a beautiful activity like this, with everything else he's got on his plate. Brownie points in heaven, I'm sure. Brownie points in my heart too ♡.
