Frozen Fog

Another new Kansas phenomenon...Hoar Frost (or so I'm told). I was calling it frozen fog until someone corrected me. Not snow, not ice...just beautiful, delicate little crystals attached to absolutely everything. The whole world was bright white. It was just breath-taking. I can't seem to be able to convince people what an exciting place Kansas is...guess it will just be my little secret.

Colby's 14th Birthday

Colby turned 14 this year. The older he gets, the more he shows his true personality, and the more we like him! Every bone in Colby's body is loyal. He's loyal to our family, he's loyal to the gospel, and even though we've lived in Kansas almost 6 years now, he's still loyal to Arizona! All Colby wanted for his birthday was AZ team memorabilia. Hence, the Diamondbacks hat and the Cardinals Jersey. He's even loyal to his favorite foods so grandma whipped up some more lemon meringue pies! Happy birthday to a truly incredible kid!

Happy New Year - Welcome 2019!

Our NEW year was spent with our NEW best Kansas buddies - the Barnses. Also, Larry and Destini and Jenny, and...Tom and Amber and Ellie. The Hackers couldn't make it, but they are also among the blessings we are counting from 2018. During this year's festivities, we solidified a couple of New Year's traditions (so fun that we will never look back) - the saran wrap ball and giant puzzles. Not to mention hoards of food! Grandma Wellman played "Pretty, Pretty Princess" with all the little princesses. There are a lot of them when our crew gets together!
