Liam is Lucky Eleven

My summer baby had his birthday while we still had a few out of town family members lingering - which made for a pretty great party. He also got an awesome date with mom and dad at Pizza Ranch and All Star Sports in Wichita. Liam is such a sweet, adorable boy. He is going through this amazing stage of being a grown up and a good helper, but still being tiny and snuggly. I've got at least a whole year or two before he morphs into some unrecognizable, hormonal version of himself. I knew 11 was my favorite number!

Wellman Family Reunion

The fact that we were able to pull off a gathering of this size (43 people) and sustain it for this long (almost 2 weeks!) during the Covid Pandemic is pretty much miraculous. Actually, when you think about it, Covid is probably the only reason we could pull off a family reunion in Kansas - everywhere else in the world is off limits, so nobody had anyplace better to go! Whatever the reason, it was a dream - all of it: the planning and preparing, welcoming the arrivals, playing, cooking and eating together, celebrating the 4th, the fireworks, the shaved ice, the Harry Potter Party, the Pool Party, Go Carts and Laser Tag, and our own private testimony meeting at the Pratt Branch (short but SO sweet), the golfing, the window shopping, a river adventure, a family trivia game, a big screen movie in the barn (Independence Day), and above all...the endless cousin bonding time. It was very reminiscent of how I imagine heaven.
