Devin and Maranda's Baptism

We got new neighbors this year - in July, sometime around the 4th. It's crazy to think we have only known Devin and Maranda Hacker for a few months, since we now feel attached to them like dear family members. It has been so fun to watch from the sidelines as they have sought out God, joined us in the Pratt Branch, and continue to plan for their future family. I constantly marvel at the wisdom and faith of these two young twenty-somethings. I'm so grateful that God planted them forever in our lives - practically in our front yard! Maranda and I are finding so much in common - more every day (most importantly our love of llamas, but also arts and crafts). Thanks to her, I have a new fantasy of combining our two properties to create a family ranch raising goats and alpacas. And she has dived in with me to all the artsy opportunities in the community. In fact, we recently taught a bus-load of 1st graders (including Reed) to make watercolor sunflowers for Kansas Day. Our volunteer art class made the newspaper! Life is full of joyful surprises.
