Hanna's 12th Birthday
Ya so, Hanna turned 12 this month. So what? That doesn't mean she's getting any older at all. It doesn't mean she will ever grow up and leave me. 12th birthdays are quite meaningless, really. It was nothing to celebrate. And how do I feel I about her you ask? Well she is most definitely not my most favorite child and the greatest human to walk the planet, or anything. Sure, she is strikingly beautiful and precious and pure and good in every way, but it's no big deal. Here are some pictures of her day of fun in Wichita with all her darling friends. And a made-to-order peanut butter banana cake from Aunt Chrysta. And a digital pop-art portrait I did of just the two of us. Not because she's so special or anything. Just because.

Disneyland 2019
For one day of our week in Cali, we snuck away from our friends to do a family day at Disneyland. What fun! We haven't been there since Hanna was three and was starry-eyed for princesses. This year Mae was three! And starry-eyed for princesses! It was like reliving our happy memories of the past, but this time our family was complete and no one was missing. I felt so blessed and I give all the glory to God for all the joy that continues to come into our lives. This time we did half a day at Disneyland, and half at California adventure. I think everybody got what they needed (fast rides or slow). I got a few great pics of Liam and Mae who are in the slow ride club with me.
For the last ride of the day we decided to go on Lightning McQueen's Car Race thingy (a great ride but a LONG line). I remember having almost as much fun standing in the forever line with my cool kids! We played whatever games we could think of and soon saw lots of other people around us doing the same thing. Every day I am enjoying my almost grown up kids more and more. The longer they stick around, the more I like them! Just think how much our love for each other will grow during the eternity that is ours to share thanks to our Savior and God's plan for families.
