Mae's birthday theme evolved over many months as she got closer to turning 6 and kept adding her favorite things to the concept. It ended up being a camping unicorn birthday. We cooked smores on a fake fire. We pitched a tent but we didn't sleep in it. We baked unicorns and ate unicorns and most of her gifts were unicorns. Scotty and I took her and her friend Hazel out to a fancy dinner. They giggled so loud at the restaurant, we had to shush them!
Mae is such a special and important addition to the end of the family. She keeps all the cuteness coming into our lives and thank goodness she does because I'm not ready to let go of having littles. She never gets tired of watching TV and eating pink sandwiches and listening to bedtime songs and stories. I'll never get tired of her dark eyes and deep dimples and her tiny hugs. She is our spunky, sparkly, cute caboose.
