Colby's 10th Birthday

Colby woke up to cards and presents and pretty packages on his 10th birthday, which was a school day. He got his own set of scriptures and a blue leather case and a stuffed shark to replace to the one he loved and lost months before. He also got money and gift cards, and I took donuts to his class later that afternoon. The epic highlight marking the important event was a family trip to the car show in Wichita. Colby had been obsessing over mustangs in the previous months so I though he would enjoy seeing some up close. "Enjoy" turned out to be an understatement. That car show was pimped out! Not just with more mustangs than Colby could possibly pose with, but also with free model car making, face painting, mingling cartoon characters, carnival games with hot wheel prizes, and a bounce house. But that was not enough for our special 10 year old boy, so we also took the kids out to Braums for ice cream. Happy birthday accomplished!

Colby is shaping up to be one amazing kid. I love him more and more as the years pass. He is so loving, respectful and obedient. I can always count on him to jump up and do as I ask as soon as I ask him. And he always says "Yes, mom!" and says it with a smile. Plus, he's super duper smart and fun to talk to, has perfect grades at all times and excels in everything science related. I can't wait to see what he'll accomplish in life with his big brains and his great attitude :)
