Super Kids and Kansas Day

Welp, Liam got braces...and since I had him out of school for a bit, we went to check out the new bakery in town together. Amazingly (even with sore teeth) he was able to snarf down a chocolate chip cookie and a giant brownie. Then I sent him back to school with a big chocolatey metal smile. We have such a good time on our doctor appointment dates. He really is one of my favorite people ever.

Speaking of doctor's appointments...Reed finally got his frenulum (little tendon under his tongue) clipped. He has been tongue tied since he was born. At his newborn checkups, the doctors told us that it would stretch or tear by itself as he got older...but, nope. He has never been able to stick out his tongue, roll it, or even reach the roof of his own mouth. Now he can do all of those things - but it still takes a lot of effort and concentration. It's so cute and funny to watch him try! Cool coincidence: his surgeon Dr. Tingey is in Chrysta and Jonny's ward in Wichita and serves with Jonny in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. He was great!

The other pics are of Hanna singing in the District Honor Choir, and me teaching the Kansas Day Craft for the art museum with my friends Jen and Amber. Also, Hanna putting on a group presentation in the LMS library dressed as a frontier Kansan citizen. Just a few random family happenings in January!
