New York, New York!

This trip feels like it was just a dream. We were so brave and I'm so proud of us for finding our own way around this crazy, wild, scary city! Upon arrival it was almost dizzying - we were so lost and scattered that we just threw up our hands and called an Uber to help us find our way to the hotel. But after three days, Scotty was so good at navigating the Subway and the bus system that we found our own way back to the airport at the end. In the middle, we saw Times Square, walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, had an over-priced lunch (gouged for being tourists) from a food truck, booked a janky cruise in Battery Park, killed some time in the Native American Museum, boated out to the Statue of Liberty, saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, strolled through Central Park, did a session at the Manhattan Temple, went to Rockefeller Center (saw the tree and found the Giving Machines), stopped in to check out Grand Central Station, went to church with Manhattan 1st Ward, visited the World Trade Center Memorial Musum, went to China Town and ate Lobster, Lo Mein and Sesame Ginger Chicken. And aside from all that, we ate treats (ice cream, cookies, cheesecake and carrot cake) and watched movies every night. Oh! Also...we randomly bumped into Uncle Bob, Aunt Marsha and Andrea in a pizza joint in downtown Manhattan. New York is a massive city swarming with millions of people so it felt like a little bit of a miracle. We were all so happy to see each other. I don't doubt that God and my dad had something to do with arranging that meeting. Scotty and I are still en route for home as I write this and we are bringing so many happy memories.
